born in 1956, sons of a violin professor and brother of a
jazz' pianiste, Didier Lockwood inherited the one the passion
of the instrument and other the love of the improvisation.

sixteen years, he obtains the first price of the music Conservatoire
of Wedged. He does its beginnings in the years 1970 within
the group Magma, alongside the percussionniste Christian Vander.
It plays uniformly in several formations, in solo, trio to
ropes or quartet and with Uzeb, Gordon Beck, Martial Solal.
Decorated of three stars in the Down Beat, the world-wide
bible of the jazz, crowned by the first Victories of the Music,
he is so comfortable in the universe of the jazz as in the
one of the classical music. |

June 1996, he creates to Lille his first concerto The Mouettes
for electroacoustic violin and symphonic orchestra, with the
national orchestra of Lille, under the direction of John claude
Casadesus. |
